The intake tower is delivered in two parts and consists of a smooth pipe and a louvre hood. The smooth pipe and louvre hood are made of stainless steel V2A (grain 220 polished). The louvre hood has an inserted bird protection grid (mesh size 10 x 10 mm). Installation is quick and straightforward: !!!ATTENTION!!! The diameter 100 mm (AT2A-100) fits only inside the KG pipe socket and is not slipped over the KG pipe! For secure standing, we recommend wall mounting here with a clamp.Allow the underground pipe to protrude at least 30 cm – 40 cm above ground level.Cut off the socket (the thick end of the underground pipe) Slip the smooth pipe over the underground pipe Insert the louvre hood into the smooth pipe DONE!We recommend additionally screwing the louvre hood to the smooth pipe. If the intake tower is used for the intake of outside air, a filter basket including a coarse dust filter should also be installed to catch heavy contamination from your ventilation system. The filter basket is inserted just below the louvre hood into the smooth pipe of the intake tower and is held by a stop bead. The filter change is correspondingly straightforward. No additional mounting materials, tools or fasteners are necessary, as the underground pipe ensures the secure standing of the intake tower. The duct is suitable for installation under the screed. We recommend our version with internal reinforcement for this purpose.
