EC fans are intelligent fans with integrated control (commutation unit) that always adjust the fan to optimal operation. Thus, the proportion of effectively used energy is many times higher compared to AC motors. At the same time, the energy input remains extremely low. The EC drive operates particularly more energy-efficiently in the controlled range and is therefore significantly more economical than AC motors.
Systemair energy-saving fans are not only extremely energy-efficient but also pleasant, comfortable and time-saving to install. Since the control electronics are integrated into the motor, connection to a control cabinet with power and control electronics and the associated wiring effort is eliminated. Due to lower wear and reduced heat generation, EC fans also have a longer service life than AC fans and require less frequent maintenance.

The compact duct fans of the K-EC series are suitable for installation in duct systems. For easy and secure mounting, all K fans have duct connections at least 25 mm long according to EN 1506:1997.

The fans are equipped with backward-curved impeller blades and energy-saving, highly efficient EC external rotor motors. The mounting brackets are included in the scope of delivery. They ensure easy installation and removal of the fan. With the FK connection sleeves available as accessories, the fan can be connected vibration-free to the duct system.

The fans are equipped with a potentiometer (0-10V) through which the operating point can be set directly. The factory setting of the potentiometer is between 6-10V. To protect the motor from overheating, the fan has built-in motor protection.

The housing is made of galvanized sheet steel. K fans are particularly airtight and achieve airtightness class C according to EN 12237:2003. Due to the airtight housing, the terminal box in IP55 and the cable gland M20 in IP68, installation outdoors and in damp rooms is permitted.
