EC fans are intelligent fans with integrated control (commutation unit), which always sets the fan to optimum operation. This means that the proportion of effectively utilised energy is many times higher compared to AC motors. At the same time, the energy input remains extremely low. The EC drive is more energy-efficient and therefore significantly more economical than AC motors, particularly in the controlled range.
However, energy-saving fans from Systemair are not only extremely energy-efficient, but also pleasant, convenient and time-saving to install. As the control electronics are integrated into the motor, there is no need to connect to a control cabinet with power and control electronics and the associated wiring work. EC fans also have a longer service life than AC fans due to less wear and tear and lower heat generation and require less maintenance.

The compact tube fans in the K-EC series are suitable for installation in pipe systems. For simple and safe installation, all K fans have at least 25 mm long pipe connections in accordance with EN 1506:1997.

The fans are equipped with backward curved impeller blades and energy-saving, highly efficient EC external rotor motors. The mounting brackets are included in the scope of delivery. They ensure easy installation and removal of the fan. The fan can be connected to the duct system without vibration using the FK connecting collars available as accessories.

The fans are equipped with a potentiometer (0-10V) that can be used to set the operating point directly. The factory setting of the potentiometer is set to a value between 6-10V. To protect the motor from overheating, the fan has a built-in motor protection.

The housing is made of galvanised sheet steel. K fans are particularly airtight and achieve tightness class C in accordance with EN 12237:2003. Due to the airtight housing, the terminal box in IP55 and the M20 cable gland in IP 68, installation outdoors and in damp rooms is permitted.
