The ventilation duct is made of galvanised steel sheet. The diameter refers to the internal diameter of the duct. Connection of Intelmann spiral-seam ducts in the ventilation system: Nipples or duct connectors are used to join the spiral-seam ducts in a ventilation system. Fittings such as bends, branch fittings or T-pieces can be connected directly to the spiral-seam duct. Couplers are used to connect fittings (bends / branch fittings / T-pieces) to each other. A spiral-seam duct is compatible with all other fittings of the same diameter. Two spiral-seam ducts are joined using a nipple.
