Insulated spiral ducts
Insulated spiral duct made of galvanised sheet steel and non-combustible mineral wool
Double-walled insulated spiral ducting provides effective protection against condensation.
Condensation is the main cause of moisture damage in buildings and occurs wherever warm air meets cold surfaces. This can happen, for example, with a fresh air supply in winter or exhaust air from a heat exchanger.
Possible applications:
Outdoor and exhaust air duct
To avoid condensate on the outside of the ductwork, the duct must be jacketed with insulation. An insulation thickness of approx. 15 mm may be sufficient here.
Supply and extract air ducting through cold rooms
Here, the ducts must be protected against heat loss and it must be prevented that condensate forms on the inside of the extract air duct. The insulation thickness depends on the ambient temperature. If it is exposed to outdoor temperatures (e.g. an uninsulated attic), an insulation thickness of 50 mm should be chosen. In unheated rooms (e.g. an unheated cellar) an insulation thickness of 25 mm can be used.
As a special design, we can also offer you aluminium or stainless steel
