Branch piece from spiral duct, flow-optimised, with EPDM double lip seal
Description: Branch piece from spiral duct to flat duct made of galvanised sheet steel. Designed like a T-piece for spiral ducts, but with a T-outlet as a flat duct connection. Round connection sides on both sides are fitted with an EPDM double lip seal.
Area of application: The area of application for the branch piece is installation in a riser pipe. The greatest advantage of the branch piece is the considerable simplification of the connection of a flat duct to the riser, which can extend from the cellar to the attic. The branch piece replaces the much more complex option of connecting using a normal T-piece. In this case, the round outlet would first have to be converted to a flat duct using a sleeve and a transition piece. This retains the advantage of the low installation height of a flat duct compared to a pipe with the AZS branch piece.
Installation tips: The Intelmann flat trunking system is designed according to the socket-nipple principle. This means that all moulded parts can be inserted into the trunking. Flat trunking is connected to each other with nipples. Moulded parts, on the other hand, are connected to each other with a sleeve. We recommend using our aluminium adhesive tape or aluminium-laminated cold-shrink tape to seal the joints. Both options offer sufficient protection against pressure loss in your pipework system.
